Research on effect of fertilizers allowed in organic farming

In project "Baltorgpotato" there was a research made in order to test the effect of different fertilizers allowed in organic farming. The research includes testing with 4 different fertilizers- "Gumistim", "Humisil", "Megagreen" and "Ekotri vermicompost".

During the project there was a brochure issued comparing poatato varieties and their suitability to organic starch production.

To evaluate suitability of varieties for starch production in organic farming there were different varieties bred in different countries, mainly in Latvia and Estonia, compared.

Poster "Baltorpotato" was produced for exhibitions and other public events.

European Cooperation day, 2012

Project partners participated in European Cooperation day in September, 2012, by introducing Riga citizens and city guests with project "Baltorgpotato".
